We pride ourselves for having and using very complete checklists for moving and setting up. Once we were leaving and some friends were waving and smiling. The smiles suddenly changed to frantic waving and frowns. We kept going and heard a bad sound from the rear of the motorhome. We stopped and looked at the rear ladder that was now gone.
DW had put a choseline between the ladder and a nearby tree. I was so focused on looking at the tires on the final walk around that I never looked up and walked under the clothesline and never saw it!
Our final walk around checklist now has firm instructions to look UP as well as down.
