This is an extremely valuable resource, a veritable wealth of information where facts and opinions can usually coexist but... the first thing I learned here is never, ever, ask a question that starts with the dreaded interrogative ..... "Why".
It seems to freak a lot of folks out when anyone does so and the OP usually takes some serious abuse for merely being no more than curious about (or just wanting to know or understand), a particular event or behavior.
