I do attempt to plan for the worst case scenario. I have been burned by people "borrowing" stuff (stealing) my jacks or tools, someone "borrowed" my car and hit something with it, loaned them money and they never paid. So yeah I can understand that over time, people's attitudes might change.
There's a saying... "Your problem is not my emergency". I know it's not the same, but it fits.
Also, we say "no" right here on the Internet, but hey, when it's people looking right at you - attitudes can change.
Answer this question - life or death situation, would you give YOUR life to save someone else's? No, it's not the same. But given people want to ensure their own family's survival...
