Was driving my Dad's car in Indiana doing the speed limit (65) I had 5 or 6 vehicles riding my bumper when a cop passed me going in the other direction, he immediately made a U-turn and came after me. He informed me he could write me a ticket even if I was doing the speed limit because I was impeding traffic.
I once had a cop pull me over for riding his bumper, I mentioned the same rule and he let me go.
If drivers on my tail have stretches of road to pass me safely, I see no reason to pull over especially if I am going the speed LIMIT. Not that I don't in certain situations only to avoid varied legal interpretations of the law and receiving a hefty fine.
Actually I like to see drivers pass me when I am already doing the speed limit. They sort of clear the way as decoy, should I exceed the speed limit and a traffic cop was further down the road. ;)
I just snicker as I pass them both by as they sit on the shoulder of the road.
