I don't want drivers near me on the road if they are impatient by nature, hot-tempered, drunk, having a medical emergency, etc. I want them gone, and that means ahead of me.
I'm probably in a different sit from you folks in big rigs, though. I bet it is harder for you to get all that mass up to speed again after slowing or stopping.
There are also people I don't want in front of me -- those with poorly secured loads, mainly. I either pass them or drop waaaaaay back.
