use your rv facilities and forget dealing with bathhouses and tote off your own tanks when needed.

No it isn't acceptable. Had a young guy go into the showers on the women's side of a campground while my wife was inside showering in central Missouri once. My son told me so I stopped him as he came out and asked him "Hey, you know that is the women's side, right?" "Yeah, I just hand to wash my hands" he says, which was bs and I did report him.
If expecting a right to privacy is being uptight or out of touch, then sorry for you.

NO men in ladies shower facilities at cg's clearly marked mens and womens is ever acceptable to me.

I have a 10 year old daughter and if she came out of a shower with a man standing their she would have been instantly scared. No younger female would expect to see a full grown man standing in the shower house and that would not be appropriate for a younger gal ever to encounter. An adult woman could handle the situation, but think of the younger females who can use the facilities on their own at a certain age but are still young enough to be scared out of their wits confronted by a situation like this.

not appropriate at all! As an adult I would talk directly to the man. I would say I have a young daughter who comes in this facility and HIM being in there is NOT appropriate at all. If his response was appropriate, as in I won't come in again, then fine, if I got attitude I would report to staff immediately.

My hubby would have a cow thinking that a man is in the womens facilities and his 10 year old daughter might encounter him. Nope....not acceptable by any means to me.

Oh my! To be honest I've not seen one of the porta potty sinks you mention; hopefully I wouldn't mistake it for some sort of open air jacuzzi!

We were camping at a NPS campground in Olympic National Park. My buddy's 10 year old daughter came running to our campsite yelling" there's a naked lady out side the bathrooms'. You know all the jokes about Americans not understanding how to use a bidet, apparently, this European lady thought the big flushable sink for dumping porta potties was a bathtub and was using it to bathe in.....

Why? There's nothing to "report". OP stated she responded and he apparently didn't hear. Sounds like he didn't venture far into the building, either, just enough to help out. It wasn't like he barged in and started looking into stalls or anything.

Maybe your tune would change if a male was present in the woman's facilities at the same time as your wife or daughter. I'm sure their reaction would be the same as the OP's.

The guy doesn't belong in there, and I'd be willing to bet the staff at the park wouldn't think so either.

Kids needing help should be taken into the restroom that is meant for their gender. My wife would take our small child into the women's bathroom if I was not around - no one should have an issue with that. The CG facilities are not for families - if family facilities exist, they are marked as such and have a locked door.

The woman should have finished her shower, then taken care of her female child. In this case, the dad needed to "assist" the children in the men's facilities.

Sorry, but as the dad of a very pretty teenage girl, I don't ask why a man is in the women's shower room. If he was doing something wrong, you think he's going to admit it to you or dream up some excuse? If he isn't an employee with a mop bucket and cleaning supplies, he has no business being there. Every dad of a small girl in the world has been in the position where he has to take her to the bathroom alone. You cover their eyes and take them to the men's room. That is normal protocol. Never does a man enter the lady's room.

Again I ask why? Is it "not normal" that a dad wants/needs to help his kids? Just wondering where you're coming from, that's all. As I stated earlier if he just charged in to ogle I'd be much more concerned, but a dad helping his kids doesn't sound very sinister to me.
