He's masquerading (cross-dressing?) as "SooperDaddy" (he announced/posted the name change)- and has some current posts..:W
Firedude - hope he's not on the "Big One" (FFs would understand)..;)
~ - Jpbeck1ExplorerWe were camping at Morro Bay (dunes) for two weeks this summer and I thought I saw his rig with the license plate Pyrodude (or something to that effect). I walked our dog by his space several times a day but I never saw him outside and I didn't want to intrude. I bought his book years ago and enjoyed it. I also followed his blog. I would have liked to met him in person.
He has a facebook page that is up to date FYI-- https://www.facebook.com/tony.cornett?fref=ts - Golden_HVACExplorerI did a "Advanced Search" with the author "Firedude" and his most recent post was back in January 9, 2010.
Here is a link to a post from September 2009.

At the time, Firedude said he was having problems with his back, and had just lost his 16 year old dog to old age.
I had a great visit with Firedude once in October 2007, while he was living in Morrow Bay, volunteering at the state campground there. He always provided great answers to the many questions. In December 2009, Firedude posted he was trying to catch up on the private messages - and would try to get back to them soon.
Fred. - Dick_AExplorerTony was good friend of several of us moderators. We attended several moderators rallies and also camped with camped with him and his wife at a location where they were work camping.
Tony abruptly resigned as a moderator and although several of us have tried to contact him the efforts have not been fruitful.
As many have mentioned, Tony is a great guy and really tried to help others. We do miss him and hope to hear from him in the future.
In the ten years I have moderated this and other forum sections, I have noticed many good members come and go. I believe some retire from RV'ing, some have health issues, and others leave for a multitude of personal reasons.
We have made many friends through this forum and we still stay in touch with most of them. - mockturtleExplorer III agree and miss both those guys.

- beemerphile1ExplorerIf I recall Firedude had a difference of opinion with forum administration and left. I could be totally wrong but that was the story I heard at the time.
- Cloud_DancerExplorer IIJust 'cause I don't "move on" doesn't mean others won't.
