When camping with our trailer my freezer is packed with meats, french fries, waffles, turnovers... All stuff I would bake in the oven.
With our B there is no oven and my freezer is always empty.
Give me some ideas... What's in yours?
Same stuff. I can cook all of that outside on the grill. Yes you can bake on the grill. - Chris_BryantExplorer II

That's quite the eye opener recipe :) - korbeExplorerOur freezer is full of everything I cook outside, either with briquettes, or in the cast iron fry pan over gas.
- Dick_BExplorerWe have all the same stuff but cook it in the Toaster Oven or frypan.

The only oven I use is the MICROWAVE oven.
That dictates what is in my freezer. - qtla9111NomadVodka, ice and frozen berries (breakfast shakes). We're on the road now. We're not big meat eaters. I cooked up rice, pasta, made some potato salad and a bag of egg whites. Mostly salads and the above for our meals.
- Dutch_12078Explorer IIWe do have an oven and use it frequently, but we also stock a number of items in our freezer that we grill, fry, boil, etc. We usually even have a couple of quick microwave meals of one sort or another. And sometimes leftovers of course... ;)
- guidryExplorerWe have an oven and sometimes use it but we also use the freezer to put water bottles in it to freeze instead of buying ice. We can drink them when they thaw too and less hassle with dumping water from the cooler.
- CroweExplorerAnything grillable-hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks, chicken, ribs, boneless pork chops, etc., frozen veggies, hamburg to make spaghetti or tacos, plus pre-cooked items like lasagna or stew. A microwave was a must-have for us but we never used our stove.
- JimK-NYExplorer IIWe virtually never use our oven at home and do not have one in the camper. There is just the two of us. We don't oven cook big roasts or the like. We don't eat frozen French fries or frozen waffles.
When camping we eat even more simply than when at home. Most of what is in the freezer are hamburger patties and precooked meats: hamburger, sausage and chicken meat. We make sauce for pasta, chili, meats for tacos and burritos and the like. Most of what we have can be turned into a meal in less than 15 minutes. In many cases, starting from the freezer and refrigerator items we would be eating dinner before an oven even heated up.
