I carry only the basic hand tools but have found another tool that turned out to be very valuable. An online service that is something like $25 or 30 a year. Has already paid for itself. I had a mess going with my M/H. Couldn't get rid of a misfire. Doing research I found
http://www.alldatadiy.com/index.html Dealer wanted $1,200.00. That wasn't going to happen. Took me full day and $170.00 in parts but found and fixed the problem. I've been afraid of the newer vehicles other than changing the oil type things because of their complexity. This on-line service has more than paid for itself first time. Being most of us travel with computer now days, this service in now included in my "toolbox". Even if you don't do the work yourself you can keep the mechanic somewhat honest. There are probably other services out there better, I'm not sure, but this one saved me a bunch of money.
Also I used to travel with a couple tool boxes. One Christmas was good to me and got one of those kits that hold tools in a plastic box. No longer sounds like a bucket of bolts going down the road. Really like tools in their own little cubby holes, much quieter.
