I have a Sidekick, same brackets and I use a Roadmaster Stow Master. You don't need a crossbar, only the mounting adapters. Roadmaster makes adapters for all major makes and models of tow bars.
The Stow Master is heavy and If I ever need another tow bar I'll get the lightweight version and maybe one that stays on the RV. I have a Suzi GV also and use the same tow bar on it.
