Whats the best rope caulk?

side note....I've always called this rope caulk also.(buetyl putty tape) Looking for it at Lowes, I was led to at least 4 depts. and finally sent to the paint dept. The guy helping me asked the women mixing paint if they had rope caulk in her dept. She said "what would you want to caulk a rope for?" Another customer sent me down the street to an Ace store and they knew what I wanted.:)
