I doubt your converter or portable charger is compatible with a GEL battery.
Life could be short unless you find and follow the correct charging specs including max voltage and current.
GEL is more of a standby battery.

I plan a camping trip this weekend & hope it gets cold enough to use the furnace & see if it keeps the heat going through the night?
Of course this will be in SoCal & our big trips takes us to places like Co & will be demanding more from the battery.
