Would you sign papers to buy a house before doing an inspection and final walk thru?
I wouldn't.
The dealer said they will have YOU sign a paper that says it will be yours only if it passes your inspection.
Shouldn't they be signing the paper?
Tell them what you told us, you don't want to own it a week before picking it up.
It sounds like they want to make sure they sell you this unit.
