When we arrived at the dealer we were ushered into the office and the manager had all the paper work laid out on the desk and asked us to sit down.
I simply said I wanted to take a look at the rig first. They had already filled the tanks burnt off the furnace and checked all the appliances. We took about a ten minute look, then went in and signed the paper work.
We then returned to the shop for a three hour inspection and training session. There was only one minor defect which was corrected before we got out of the office.
Possibly we could have gotten screwed doing it that way, but the dealer has been in business for more than 30 years and has an excellent reputation.
They then offered to keep it for a few days as we had a 60 mile drive and it was snowing with high winds. Since we now owned the rig I was not crazy about not having it at home,so we took it that day.
