I see theses posts often and I just don’t seem to have those problems. But my attitude is the closer to the city the campground the more riffraff, so I stay well away from them. Likewise parks that have FHU because they’re usually always tight quarters with a lot of people. Those situations don’t occur boondocking or in the NF campgrounds I tend to frequent. In a lifetime of camping I could probably count the number of times I’ve been annoyed by others behavior on my fingers. Even then it’s been a MH parking right next to my tent, barking dogs, generator noise, etc., in short nothing to unduly upset me. Well, maybe with the exception of the MH.
I think if you want to camp around mobs of people you have to expect at least some unpleasant experiences and the only solution is to camp in more secluded locations.
For the most part any camper minding his own business and enjoyment will seldom if ever see these problems or mostly any problems at all… it’s when you want to complain when you mind another’s business more than your own, everywhere you look there will be something or someone the sticks out… with only minor embellishments it can be turned into a rant…
It is very common to read about more problems in just one of these threads than I have witnesses or experienced in a lifetime of camping…
it’s less about seclusion than it is about expectations, mostly unrealistic expectations…
just like you wouldn’t expect a pool and hot tub in you secluded in the boonies location, one shouldn’t expect total quiet and tranquil surroundings in small site CG’s with 200 guest on a 25 acre loop…
