There are waste tank chemicals that are safe for home septic systems. Just be sure you read the labels. As a matter of fact I may start using my septic with my tote as the closest dump is a 20- 25 minute drive and $10. The $10 doesn't bother me, it's the raising the TT struts, placing the WDH on the truck, disconnecting the power, connecting the TT, the drive, then return to back in my drive on a narrow street, and set it back up again.
As for my tote, glad I have it. My septic clean out is between the house and septic tanks with no room to line up the TT. I too boon dock.
