The FloJet Waste Macerator is a 12 vdc pump so the easiest method of supplying power to it is to simply clamp it's cables on to the trailer's battery posts and use the provided pistol grip switch to turn the pump on/off. However, since I use mine all the time I ran +/- 12 vdc from the battery back to where the waste gates are located and wired them to a standard Bargman connector. I then terminated the pump's wires with a matching Bargman so to run it all I do is plug it in and turn it on.
The +12 vdc at the battery runs through a high amp toggle switch so I can also control the pump from the tongue areas in those situations where we may be camping and I want to off load macerated black water into portable containers already sitting in the back of the truck. :B
