- TOMMY47ExplorerBTW--Towed my Saturn Vue 8500 miles without a problem.
- TOMMY47ExplorerI bought the base plate on Amazon and Craigslist for the tow bar and brake buddy. $880 total. Had an RV mechanic install and wire it for about $450. I am fairly handy but would not ever attempt it myself.
- Jack_KayExplorerDon't have a Jeep, but we had our Honda Accord baseplate installed at our local Hitch & Tow shop. They did a great job. I had the Blue Ox tow bar and they did the rest, including the lights and the installation of the Invisabrake system.
- koda55ExplorerCar and rv were set up at River's rv in Jacksonville, FL. Had M&G engineering brake system installed at Eagles Pride in Titusville, Fl
- Canadian_RainbiExplorerBought the base plate, towbar and brake system from Roadmaster at an FMCA Rally then stopped off at their plant in Vancouver Washington. Boondocked in their parking lot overnight and they started first thing in the AM. Took all day. Included running air lines and wiring lights for the Jeep Wrangler.
- RockyMtExplorer IIMine done by Blue Ox dealer.Did good job!
- DSDP_DonExplorerI've done three of my own trucks and my friend's Hyundai yesterday. The fascia removal is pretty easy/basic. There can be some issues when they need you to drill some additional holes.

The liberty is my wifes Jeep, I have wired tow vehicles for trailer lights, so that much i know i can do, and i have added hitches to my old 96 jeep cherokee sport, and now the newer 2004 jeep grand cherokee with no problems, (yes, we are a jeep family, her daughter also has a 2005 Jeep liberty, and her son is looking for a nice Jeep grand Cherokee) The only thing i find alittle out of my skill set, is the removal of the front fascia for the liberty. but i have seen the videos and it seems like a 3-4 hours job for a novice like me. I was looking at the prices of the base plate 300-400 bucks, and the tow bar 500-600 bucks... so we will have to put that equation into the budget if we decide to go with the toad
