Dry camping I would just use a bucket to pour water on the fire.
When we camp with city water I do like one of the above post said and use a water tee off the city water port at the pedestal.
I have a water hose with spigot to do that. I am always using water around the camp for something. Even fun to squirt squirrels sometimes..
My trailer requires manual fill for the fresh water tank and using a water hose makes for a quick fresh water tank fill up if I want to use my own water pump to get better water pressure inside the trailer.
Having seen a couple of the posts above I think adding the EXTERNAL WATER PORT is an excellent idea. I just might do that myself. I would most definitely LABEL it as such so that someone down the road would know it was not to be connected to the city water port. They would be scratching their head trying figure out why their city water hose had the wrong ends on it to work haha..
