Wow, thanks for all the replies, I like some of the ideas. Just to touch on a few ideas and questions.
I like the outside shower idea. I don't have the trailer here to look and I thought the hose fitting was smaller, but I'll bet I can get an adapter. I like the water port idea or tapping into the pump output. I might explore that option but I'm a bit nervous about cutting a hole in my trailer.
Thanks for all the ideas.
- Yes I'm dry camping but want my fire out cold so the dirt idea won't work.
- I've been known to walk back and forth with water from the trailer to put out the fire, but want to get lazy.
- I understand the concern about using my potable water, but I usually come home with at least 1/3 tank.
- I already built the Y adapter for when I have water hookups, so this is the second half of that project.
- Yes I really want to put out the fire and not drain gray water.
- I do have one of those sewer line caps but I use it to see if anybody pulled my valves before I open the big cap.
- I don't really want to put the gray water in the hose as then I wouldn't be able to spray one of my kids.
- I also thought about having water available in case the fire spreads. I've been through two wildfires and don't want to start my own.
- My fresh water drain is unforunately not pressurized.
