Zion National Park pet rules
These rules look pretty clear cut! Strange how people that own dogs do not think the rules apply to "their" dog because it is so "special"!
We went to a Christmas Concert Saturday at our community center and the people that sat next to me bought their lap dog, stating is was their special child together as they did not have any children born to the two of them!!
Read the rules and follow them. If not following them I hope people get fined as spelled out in the rules. These parks have been set aside for the people of the country and other visitors to enjoy! Please respect that!

The problem with many people is that they do not train their dogs or are responsible about the dogs for cleaning up after or keeping them from a bad situations.
I myself show my dog at AKC dog shows & so yes he is very well trained & I'm very responsible of him & the rules... - LewBobExplorer

I agree with you, Chris. We've been campground hosts in a couple of national parks and occasionally have had to call rangers to deal with folks who, for some reason, thought the rules didn't apply to them (or, perhaps, were "made to be bent"). In addition to the fine, flagrant violators can be given a "mandatory appearance" citation, which requires them to appear in person before a federal magistrate, often a costly inconvenience. - woodgeezerExplorerJust a word of caution. They have had snow and freezing temperatures the last few weeks. Be real cautious with where you go and what you walk under.

Pack rules are meant to be bent.....
If you are not following rules they are broke not bent.
So if you have "No Trespassing" signs on your property, I can still walk through there?
Sure,,Just don't get caught!!! - dave54NomadHead up the Kolob Terrace Rd, exiting the north end of the Park. That is National Forest land, open to dispersed camping and dogs.

Darn it! I hate when I read after the fact & see how I misspelled the title of a tread!!!! DOH!!!
I give you credit for recognizing it. Most do not. - noe-placeExplorerYou two sound like big buddies and if you're going to the park I see no reason not to take your dog. Posted areas will tell you where he can and can't go so you can avoid those and both of you should have a great time. I agree with jake2250, rules are set for those who require being told how to behave.
- jake2250ExplorerPack rules are meant to be bent..... With that being said, it is up to your dog....
My dog is a retired fire investigator,, he still carries a badge,, allot of places that do not allow dogs have to allow him!!
Be that as it may,, he is very tolerant and if I didn't announce him you wouldn't know he was there... Other than 160lbs of Black lab/Mastiff. So bring your dog,, if you can truly control him,, most places are tolerant..
I have seen some English Sheep hounds that are truly smarter than US!!!!!
