Where not to picnic GSMP
See the craziest things, sometmes:
Great Smokey National Park, is the most visited National Park, free to the public.
Right on the Gatlinburg side, is a visitor center (info, maps, picnic tables, trails, etc…) before going into the park. Across the street is a RV DUMP STATION nestled in the woods.
This group of Michigan students were having a picnic lunch, a nice sheet out on the ground, a full spread of food – RIGHT IN THE LUSH FERTILIZED GRASS AREA 3 FEET FROM THE SEWER SYSTEM.
They were a little baffled when RV’s started rolling in.
This guy in front of us, letting them know, “You know you all are eating next to a sewer. Then as he hooked up his hose (they were still sitting, going to watch), he says – “THIS IS THE POOP SHOOT :E…You may want to move over to that nice hiking trail area across the way.”
At that point, they decided to move the lunch.
The Rv’er wraps up his RV dumping duty, and says to us, “HEY meet you all back here at 6 for dinner?!?!"
