Maybe it's the people that think it's a biohazard area just because it's a dump station that are stupid. You may be mortified to know what people in the wastewater industry regularly do; and live to tell about it (without becoming the least bit ill). After all, I don't think they were drinking the water.
Tell that to the people picnicking next to the dump station if and when an "accident" happens!!!!
I have a real problem with people calling someone out as "stupid" and all the other condescending comments. Especially when they weren't even there. In this case the kids were eating their lunch on the grass near a dump station. How many FHU sites have a picnic table less 10-feet away from the neighbors dump station? And there they are, roasting marshmallows, and camping out right next to it. I guess that makes anyone using a FHU site "Stupid".
The fact is, by the OP's report they moved before the guy pulled the lever. No harm no foul - until the posters on this site start with their "labeling" of folks that probably didn't know the situation going on. Way I see it, it ain't any different then the FHU sites, except the people camping on those FHU sites know what is going on.
Actually Dodgeguy, I wasn't even directing my post towards you. I pretty much agree with what you had to say.
But for the others, My Point being - Why the label? Does that somehow make you feel superior or what? Would you stand if front of them and say that out loud?
And I won't even talk about the OP who thought this would be a good time to have a kids roast today, complete with pictures and everything.
