I suspect the reason that reviews are not shared is that the workers do not want others to compete with them for the job next year. Keep the good jobs secret and don't bad mouth a past employer.
just saying
I've seen 2 types of workampers. The first likes to come back to the same place every year/season. They should have no fear of competition since they're a known quantity and obviously have something going for them if they keep getting invited back. To the contrary, they may enhance their chances of returning if the employer sees them write a glowing review.
The second type likes to keep moving around the country to see different sights. They would have no motivation to keep quiet about a great campground if they have no intention of returning.
Don't bad mouth a past employer? You're absolutely right. Most of us were probably taught that if you have nothing nice to say about someone then say nothing at all. Hmmm, lack of reviews?
When I first started workamping, I wanted to be part of the solution and write factual, objective reviews after each job. Well, I did that for my first job. It was mostly good but brought up 1 area where the manager had gone back on his word. I checked that review a few months after posting it and found the manager had accused me of having a serious personality disorder. I got the website owner to remove that remark but guess how many reviews I wrote after that?
