Where to post question?

Don't really know where to post this question. Once someone has narrowed down to class A or class C for full timing, is there somewhere to go for "side-by-side" comparison of RVs?
  • I have a suggestion for you. Go to camping world web site and brouse thru thier selections. Print off the data sheets on the ones that you want to compare and then you have the info in front of you. Might work for you.

I own a small class C now and am very happy with it. I am not actively shopping for RV. Guess I didn't word question correctly. In a couple of years, God willing, I plan to go full time and I would just like to see (on paper), side-by-side comparison of the features important to me for comfortable living. When I get ready to buy then I will certainly go to RV shows and "make myself at home" going through scenarios of "what ifs??". I guess I'm asking the impossible. I want to compare Brand to Brand. Feature to feature.
    That would be too easy!!

    Thanks for responses anyway!

Did anyone actually read my question or this follow up? I am NOT looking to buy another RV for fultiming right now. I just bought the one I have. I was just wondering if there is a WEBSITE that may compare the different brands of comparable size such as Forest River, Winnebago, Jayco, Thor, . Comparing roof, size, motor, chassis, etc, etc. (I tried to make columns but it didn't work.)
Just like they do with car comparisons.
    Like this
Am I not making sense??? LOL (My DH tells me I don't most of the time)
    Thanks
  • We went to dealers and shows to narrow down our choices and then rented a model we thought we liked. Glad we rented because by living with a floor plan really makes you know what will work for you.
  • My 2cts, DW and I went to rv shows before we signed on the dotted line. Made sure we got what we wanted.
  • You might want to make a post on the Full-timing forum on this site to get better opinions on using one or the other for full-timing. For starters, a Class A will give you a lot more storage space which is needed when you take it all with you. :) Good luck!

  • I learned more at the last RV show we went to then I have been able to process yet. Walk around the different types and sizes, sit on the couch, and try to watch TV. One of you stand in the kitchen "cooking dinner" and the other go into the bathroom, or bedroom from the couch. We sat in one for thirty minutes talking to a fulltimer, we found out what they didn't like about the coach we were sitting in, I learned what we liked about it.

    Any large RV dealer.

    Or an RV show.:)

If you want to try comparing, without actually stepping foot in an RV (which I wouldn't recommend), you can usually pull up pretty good information sheets from the mfgr's website.

But, it's usually best to walk around in the RVs, lay on the bed, open the cabinets, stand in the shower.....get a feel for it.

    Good luck:)
