Which front end bug screen to save the radiator ?

Hi All

Would you owners of 2013 Allegro Open Road please tell me about which radiator front end bug shield you have for your unit & where you got it & the pricing ?

Thanks !!

  • First thing when a new vehicle arrives, I put a screen right in front of the radiator. Sometimes it is a tricky job requiring sticks to push and wires to pull it into place. On other vehicles it is easier to remove the grill or a plastic top.

An external screen to keep bugs off the whole front would be nice if easy to install.
  • It's not rocket science. Just a piece of window screen that hangs in front of the radiator. Tied or fastened up so it stays there. If it flops around a bit that is OK. That helps the dried bugs to fall off.
  • I don't have an Allegro either, but I used a piece of plastic screening cut to size and wire tied in place on my Dodge. Has worked great for 9 1/2 years.
  • I don't have an Allegro, but I used some .25 hardware cloth behind the grill to catch bugs and small rocks from hitting radiator.
Got the cloth from Ace. Used fender washers on the grill ounting bolts to hold it in place.
