Which RV to pick - 7 adults and 4 kids

First time poster here and looking for advice.

So, few of our family are flying in for Xmas and we'd like to surprise them by taking them out on a 2-day/1-night RV trip to a state park.(Say, you leave Fri AM, camp Fri PM-Sat Noon and then drive back Sat PM)

Totally we would be 7 adults and 4 kids(ages <1,3,3 and 7)
None of the adults are over 6 feet and are in reasonable shape.

We have several RVs to choose for rent and have narrowed down to below 3. Am open to suggestions as well.

  1. 2016 Jayco Greyhawk(31FS) - Class C motorhome and sleeps 10.
  2. 2018 Forest River Georgetown 5 Series(36B5) - Class A motorhome and sleeps 10.
  3. 2016 FOREST RIVER GEORGETOWN 364TS - Class A motorhome and sleeps 10.

  • @accsys - Children under six years old do not count in the total so we are within limits. Plus, most RV sites are limited in length of the RV so we are looking to stay below 36 feet.

@BB_TX - I can't predict weather on Xmas but I do know it's going to be cold.

We will be camping in Florida Panhandle.

Any thoughts on which of the above three RVs? Class A or Class C for comfort and especially sleeping at night?
  • Make absolutely sure the weather will be great before you commit to anything. You will not want to be stuck inside the MH for any length of time due to bad weather. And make sure restrooms and showers are nearby. State parks often do not have sewer hookups. And they sometimes have a limit on number of people per site.

I hope you are all very good friends and all tolerate each other well. Look at each MH carefully. Bunks are often fairly small. Make sure there are enough larger beds for the adults. Have whatever you need to prepare meals outside. That will take a lot of food prep. Honestly doesn’t sound like a fun time to me. But I am sure some would enjoy it.

Age 6 and under don't count. And no one is going to split hairs over that anyway unless you get around some busy body who hates kids.
  • With that many adults and children I would get the largest I could providing you are comfortable driving it. If you haven't made reservations for your stay at a FL state park, that would be number one on my list - they are very busy this time of year. You didn't say which park but they have limits as to how many (usually 8) on a site. Staying in a state park cabin might be an alternative but they have the same population limits and no pets! You may want to get two sites side-by-side and use a tent on one of them.
