- jesse_m_jmExplorerThanks for the replies everyone. I guess I should have been more clear. I know I need to do at least one, as all three have brakes(I think, I will have to check this), I was just curious if any of the three axles is better than the others.
- here is info from ODOT. Appears you can chain axles as you want. I would do the easiest.
Since a triple axle RV is not listed, I would call OR State Police or ODOT office for clarification.
Chain placement - mowermechExplorerI do believe it varies by state. You will have to research the chain requirements in the state in which you will be driving to be sure.
Generally, though, the chains will go on both sides of one axle. That axle must be one on which brakes are installed and operational.
But, check the regulations in YOUR state to be sure!
