Since the TT is new to us, I haven't had it loaded to full GVWR yet, so I don't know how much more "squat" there will be when fully loaded, but at present there is plenty of room for a bigger tire/wheel combo.
Here's info from Discount Tire's website on the Michelin LTX I'm considering for the TT. These I have on the TV and they have good recommendations:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Michelin LTX M/S2 Tire P235/75R15/XL 108T:
Fuel-efficient, high-performance, all-weather tire
Silica tread compounds and better lateral evacuation for wet road traction
Dense and deep 3-D Active Sipes for great snow traction
Optimized contact patch of MaxTouch construction enhances tread for high
performance
Treadwear warranty: 70,000 miles
Tire type: light truck
Sidewall: black sidewall
Specific sidewall style: outlined white letters
Speed rating: T
Load index: 108
Speed rating translation: 118 mph
Load index translation: 2205 pounds
Michelin tire (P235/75R15/XL 108T) with additional steel belt for
durability and strength
----------------------------------------------------
I'm still looking to see what load range this tire is. It is said in the ad to be "load index 108, or 2205 lbs".
I believe other TT owners are running this tire. Not positive it is exactly the same tire, but I think so. Still trying to learn..
