Even if you had a 7000lb 35ft trailer and a 7000lb 25ft trailer they are not going to tow the same. Even if they had the same "static" tongue weights when sitting still the 35ft trailer is going to have much more tongue weight under varying conditions while on the road. Think of a trailer as a teeter todder. THe longer the trailer the more forces that are going to be exerted on the tongue under varying road conditions.
