For convenience I leave my freshwater hose hooked to the rig freshwater connection. I have a blue curled hose I leave connected to the blackwater flush. Then a y at the city water connection. Saves switching hoses all the time. When time to flush I hook up blue hose flush then unhook blue hose.
I use different colors to distinguish which hose is which. Color of hoses is not import could be purple and gold.
As long as there is positive pressure into the tank flusher there should be no cross contamination.
