No one is saying you can't use your drinking water hose to help when cleaning out your black tank. If you want to do that, go right ahead.
I prefer to keep my drinking water hose away from my waste tanks.
This is similar to whether or not to wear rubber gloves when handling the "stinky slinky". (I wear gloves...)
