White hose
I’m wondering if I need to always use a white hose for the travel trailer if we don’t drink the water.

Just buy the RV hose. This way you don’t have to guess when pulling the one from the side of your house that was left on the ground with spiders and insects crawling around inside of it! Just make sure you store it in the trailer compartment. Also drain it before storing it.
BTW, we always use the water from our RV. I have the inline hose filter, and then a dedicated “while house” filter plumbed in the RV. I never worry about even drinking water from the RV.
