Leatherette comes in several weights so it's hard to know from sitting on it how well it'll keep up to a rigorous lifestyle. Perhaps a manufacturer can give you a swatch.
It does clean easily enough. A lil Fantastik/Lysol/name your fav cleaning spray should be fine with the exception of say ballpoint pen stains.
I don't think I'd want it in an RV from the perspiration and colour POV. Have a hard enough problem keeping my apt's empty nester off white couch clean, LOL.
