Go to lowes, home depot or menards and look at their step stools before you make a decision. I have the one step like the two step you show, to use in my kitchen. It is fine to step up on for a minute or two, but I am not sure it will be steady enough to use as a door step. Mine flexes a bit in the center if i move around much on it (like stretching to reach far corner of cabinet). Also how will that one work if you have uneven ground for it to sit on. I have aluminum 2 step similar to rubbermaid one camperpaul shows and it is much sturdier that the plastic fold up... I could use hacksaw and cut the back off shorter if I were using as steps..(just cap the cut edges with caps like on bottom of legs)
