Disagree ... you can store outdoors unprotected if you wish but neither the factory nor any dealership does this because it's preferable or because RVs are "made to stay outside", rather they're outside because there's no other choice. :R Water intrusion is the Number 1 enemy of any RV and the less it's exposed to this threat, the better. Many of us can't do much about this during the camping season when we're out using our rigs on a regular basis but anything that can be done to provide additional protection against harsh winter weather is a definite plus. For those who use their rigs during the winter, yes removing a cover can be difficult to impossible, in which case indoor storage is even more justified.
X2. Car dealers don't keep their inventory inside. But, many customers buy cars and keep them in a garage.
Indoor storage is always better for the RV or any other vehicle.
