Why can't I get what I want with manual transmission

I have looked at every card dealers website in a 100 mi radius, they have their complete inventory on their site, Not one manual transmission available. Kicking tires is difficult with the closer dealer 30 miles away, and that is in a small town. When the temps go down I'll get out, trying to car shop in 92 degree (feels like 100) is rather tiring.
