A hot hub warmer than normal means problems.
A hot tire means low pressure or belts etc and may be a problem. Further examination at least.
The remote temp guns are especially goo for towables with greased hubs, especially water craft trailers that get submerged.
We check our tires and hubs every time we stop for a bit. May miss once, in a while.
