Proper maintenance is great.
I considered the temperature checks part of my preventive maintenance program. It's one step above a visual or hand check.
Hey, I have read too many horror stories on here to ignore the fact that the manufacturers put off-shore******(including bearings and brakes) on these rigs. Can't hurt to check, recheck and triple check. I do a walk around at every stop. With the TT, it took san extra minute at the most to check temps.
