Why does my A/C fan on when I run the furnace?

My fifth wheel has two temp controllers. One has a digital display that controls my A/C and blower. This thermostat also controls my gas furnace. THe other thermostat is the type that I've had on...

I was assuming you had the Single Zone LCD-


On this thermostat you set the fan to auto by pressing On/Off Mode until the led next to fan lights up, then cycle through hi-lo-auto, but it sounds like that's where it is now..
I have the owners guide (single page) and the larger operating manual, (as well as the service manual on my service manual page).
