Why I'm glad I own an RV - Dirty Hotel Rooms

I read this article this morning about how dirty hotel rooms are. I'm really thankful that we rarely use a hotel and have our RV to rely on.

Dirty Hotel Rooms

  • Hotels are OK, but I prefer RV-ing... I remember getting a bedbug app for my smartphone in 2010... went from 1-2 places to almost every hotel/motel having issues with those. With that in mind, I'll just keep with my rig, which I know who slept in it.
  • To be perfectly frank, I prefer RV parks to hotels not because of the cleanliness issues but for the social environment that RV parks offer.
  • The dirt in motels/hotels and our pets are the reason we went MH. Our used 35 ft has serviced our needs well. We are planning a western trip this year, big one.If all goes as planned Yellowstone Las Vegas and Grand Canyon will be on agenda.

We have 3 Papillions, lost our beautiful Mommy, Molly had to have her put down on Monday she had cancer and was not having a good life. Now we have the male and two of her puppies to take care of us.

We plan on leaving from Mi Fathers Day or Monday after, we have a trip planned with friends and daughter to Deerfield Vill and will leave from Mi.

Any ideas on route? Should we go back to Ohio and take 80? Or go UP and across to Wi.? That adds how many miles?
  • When I flew to CO to purchase my truck, I had to motel it back to WA. One motel in Kellogg ID was the only place with vacancy. It could understand why after inspecting the room. I discovered a lot of dead bugs on the floor.

I left after a couple hours and told management there was no way I could stay in that room.
  • Although I'm sure its true here as well, this article is out of Australia
