In my business, aftermarket car and truck accessories the manufactures are getting a little fed up with these internet guys selling below what they should sell at.
Hmmmm .... then why don't the manufacturers clean up and/or control their distribution channels better such that their wholesale pricing is higher for the Internet guys so that the Internet guys have to sell higher and hence not be able to undercut the brick and mortar stores on pricing so much?
The manufacturers could control the low-ball Internet pricing much better than they're doing if they wanted to. However, I'll bet that to the manufacturers "a wholesale sale is a wholesale sale" no matter what distributors they sell to ... just like to the brick and mortar businesses "a retail sale is a retail sale" too, no matter what retail customers they sell to.
Brick and mortar sellers need to complain to the manufacturers about how their products are getting distributed instead of brick and mortar sellers complaining to us end customers about where and how we're shopping.
I refuse to pay more for the identical product - it makes absolutely no sense to do this for one on a fixed income - as many RV'ers are.
