Not saying all the others are better, because they do vary all over the map. You just need to spend the time doing price comparisons. Sometimes one place can be the lowest on an item, but on another item can be the highest. It can be tedious, but it can save a ton of money in the end. What I am saying is that CW is higher just about all the time, even when "on sale".
We've bought a ton of stuff from online vendors and have not had a single problem yet, except for Amazon. Between us, we have an accountant and certified fraud examiner and an MBA. I'm only saying this because we won't hesitate to buy online and we shop around for the best prices. We buy anything we can on the internet now and have saved thousands so far. It's safe, it's easy and customer service is excellent. It's the smart thing to do, especially in these more difficult economic times. Of course, you do need to establish that an online vendor has an acceptable level of customer satisfaction and is trustworthy.
Why would they need a physical store presence? Amazon doesn't and it works fine for them. You can't even talk to anyone at Amazon but you can at the online RV vendors. I've even had a few of the online vendors phone me after the purchase to see if everything was satisfactory. I've rarely had an issue with damage, missing parts or a wrong item and they've always resolved them quickly without any hassles. How easy is it return an online purchase from CW? We took a brand new defective BBQ purchased online to a CW store for return and had to plead with them to take it back. Not impressed...
If anyone thinks CW is so great, go ahead and spend more. Not sure why anyone would knowingly want to spend more unless they have money to burn...
Don't think for a minute that CW is out there supporting the RV world just because. It's part of marketing and building their image.
Just what could be wrong with online vendors like Tweetys, PPLMotorhomes, Dyersonline, Adventurerv, Americanrv, etrailer, etc., etc.?
Try to have your MH furnace repaired, that A/C or refrigerator installed the same day in your MH or TT, tires installed on your trailer, or sell your MH/TT thru your on-line RV parts stores ... it takes sticks and bricks and actual employees working to do those sorts of things. I would guess CW parts/internet sales is not their major source of income, but that's just a guess.
