Why is Camping World so EXPENSIVE?

The last time I was at Camping World (about 4 months ago now), I was looking for a bunch of specific items, since we just signed for our new camper (different dealer), but had not taken delivery yet. Since we're Good Sam members, we thought the combined purchase, plus being Good Sam members would give us a good discount. Well, we could have had the good discount for being club members, but unfortunately, they didn't have the items we were looking for. And the one highest priced item (the whole reason we went there - a $350 item), wasn't what we though it would be and the other items were not in stock. ... like the advertised wheel covers, and such. We ended up spending about $35 for the items they had. When we picked up the camper at the dealer, we were able to purchase those other items from them. We got a 10% one time discount since we purchased the camper from them, and the total purchase after the discount came to almost $1000.00 the day we took delivery of the camper.

Was I disappointed with CW? Yes, because the items they advertised in their flyer were not in stock. It's about a 70 mile trip for us to get to Camping World, and Saturday is the only time we can go. My wife and I both took a day off from work to make this trip and the following Saturday was the day we took delivery of the camper.

Will I go back to Camping World! YES ... absolutely! Next time we pass by there! (This is the Indianapolis - Greenwood store).
