Oftentimes the quality of answers reflect the quality of the question. Ask vague, poorly worded, and lacking information questions, you get wild answers.
Ask concise clear questions with all pertinent information included, you get good answers.
Look at how many times people ask a question and the first five respondents have to ask for more information before an answer can be given.

Along the same lines, don’t post “do nots” in your first post. It’s a forum and people will share regardless of the OP’s “rules.” Leaving out reasons & context behind a seemingly strange question (e.g. auto antifreeze and toilet seals) will only lead to more questions or frustration.
