As a newbie, we take our cues from those around us in the campgrounds. But we never leave the awning down when we leave to do other things. We even fold the chairs and lay them down. Better to be safe. We also feel it is our responsibility as a good neighbor to do so. We would feel terrible if something of ours was blown into anothers car/truck/MH/TT and caused damage.
