Why would a prospective employer want to remain hidden?

You won't know there motive until later. Might be an employer that rips people off. Or maybe a business has added up all their hiring costs and only goes thru a hiring agency that only forwards them job apps that are drug free, with experience and background checks already done.
Takes way to much money to hire people off the street.
