Glad your filter caught it. Gotta love those clear cannisters. Just remember to clean/sanitize your drinking water hose.

We have a double-filter (5micron / 1 micron) system at the S&B since we're on well water. On occasion our well "burps" the first filter turns black.

I wouldn't be without a filter (or two).

Chances are the cg already knows about the issue.
