I'm personally very skeptical of all these health studies. One day eggs will kill you, the next day eggs are great. One day coffee is deadly, the next day it prevents Alzheimer's. I use the blue disposable filter because some CG systems are so old they have stuff in them that I don't want in my water system. We make coffee with tap water from where ever campground. We drink bottled water because the taste is consistent. I'm not afraid of hose pipe water, just don't really like the taste.
Known absolute fact: everyone who has ever drank filtered water died.
