Wi-Fi Oops

Last month we were camping at the Emerald Forest of Trinidad, CA RV resort. When my wife and I arrived, we stopped at the office to check-in and found out that we were the first of our family to arrive. (Both married daughters and their families were joining us for a week.) My youngest daughter had reserved 3 sites, and since I had the biggest trailer (a 5th-wheel), I asked if I could drive to the sites to pick the one that I could best fit in. Then I would return to complete check-in. The office lady said "OK".

I drove our rig down the main access road to the location of the 3 sites. After picking a site and walking back to the office, I was completing the paperwork when another lady came out of a back office and asked me how tall our 5th-wheel was. I thought this was an odd question, but I told her "13-feet, 2-inches".

She then proceeded to tell me that we wouldn't have Wi-Fi that evening because I had taken out their Wi-Fi cable that was strung over the road. In fact, she said no one in the park would have Wi-Fi until they could get the cable re-strung. I said I was sorry, but they shouldn't have strung the cable so low.

When my oldest daughter arrived and learned of the Wi-Fi outage, she setup her Verizon Hot-Spot and told me and my youngest daughter how to use it.

Fast forward to the next morning.

I got up early and after making coffee, I logged on to the Hot Spot. A few minutes later, my oldest daughter knocked on our door and asked me to get off the Hot Spot. Our other daughter was doing REAL WORK, and when I logged on, she got knocked off. I readily agreed to wait until our daughter's work session was over.

In the meantime, I walked over to the "working daughter's" campsite where she was typing away while sitting at their picnic table. As I walked up from behind, I jokingly said, "What's this about you kicking me off the internet?" With zero hesitation, she came back with, "What are you talking about? You kicked the whole campground off the internet!"

Best comeback I've heard in years!
